A Christening

Hello and howdy, avast ye and welcome on in. We three seafarers, salt-soaked and slurring our chanteys, issue a small invitation to witness process and intention, not to mention kickass result: us catching our sea legs before they run off again as we quest after large blond sea mammals, literature, art, and all that jazz. The big fish is, after all, only as good as the stories the parrot tells about it while the sailors are off on shore leave getting laid. To that end: welcome another blog to bloated blogland, this one to catalogue the genesis of a certain White Whale. The assembly of bones, the meat and skin, the fins, and—who could forget it?—the blubber. Watch as: Randi makes macramé of the rigging; Jim threatens the compass; and Amos brews bathtub booze—somehow— in the crow’s nest.

If nothing else, the parrot may teach you a couple new swears.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I'm interested in literary journals and loook foreward to events beyond christening. Please let me know when your vessel is underway.
